Truly anonymous
No phone number, no email, no real name. Pick a nickname if you like; the other person only sees what you choose to share.
Anonymous chat with strangers
Người Lạ Ơi (“Hey, Stranger!” in Vietnamese) matches you with someone online right now, to chat, share what's on your mind or just feel a little less bored. No sign-up, no phone number, end-to-end encrypted messages.
Why Người Lạ Ơi
No phone number, no email, no real name. Pick a nickname if you like; the other person only sees what you choose to share.
Messages are encrypted on your device and only the recipient can decrypt them. Our servers can't read what you write.
Once you both leave a chat, its messages are deleted from the server. Photos sent in chats delete themselves after 24 hours.
On the web you can talk to up to 5 people at the same time and switch between them with the row of avatars at the top.
Hit it off? After a long conversation you can invite that person to keep talking, even if they're offline.
Everyone you meet is a real person. We never use chatbots pretending to be strangers.
How it works
Choose your gender, year of birth and area. No sign-up, no password.
We match you with someone who's online right now. The same two people are never randomly matched again.
Send messages, stickers and photos. Tap “Leave this conversation” to stop, or (+) to meet someone else too.
